FPAM Donates Bicycle To Youth With Disability To Improve Her Livelihood

FPAM today donated a bicycle to Elizabeth Kanjiwa, a Youth and SRHR advocate from Nchezi T/A Chimutu in Lilongwe.

Her husband Gideon Chinkute and FPAM Lilongwe north Community Reproductive Health Promoter (CRHPS) Jaziel Kalikokha represented Elizabeth during the handing over ceremony

FPAM Executive Director, Donald Makwakwa stated that, “Elizabeth is an inspiration to other people with disabilities. She has proven to be a force to reckon on when it comes to reaching out to other people with disabilities with Sexual Reproductive Health and Rights information. Despite being visually impaired, Elizabeth travels long distances to reach out to others and when she requested for a bicycle, we did not hesitate to provide one. As an organization, we also commend Gideon, the husband to Elizabeth who is always there to support her as she goes on a mission to create awareness and demand for SRHR services among the youth.”

Elizabeth who was born with visual impairment is one of the youth with disabilities actively promoting youth access to family planning among other SRHR services in Malawi through FPAM projects.
